Congers Pool to Open Early for the First Time in Lake Memorial Park History 

Supervisor Hoehmann Continues Increasing Efficient Services

(New City, NY) – Supervisor George Hoehmann and Superintendent of Recreation and Parks Elaine Apfelbaum today announced that Congers Pool will open early for the first time in the pool’s history.  Starting Memorial Day weekend, Congers Pool will be open Saturdays and Sundays, until June 18th when the pool will begin daily operation for the season. 

 “Families and seniors will be enjoying Congers pool earlier than usual this year,” said Supervisor George Hoehmann. “While we are working hard to cut costs in Town Government, we are also looking for better ways to serve the residents of Clarkstown.  It’s part of my commitment to do more with less.”

Congers pool will be open from 12pm – 6:45pm on the following weekend dates: May 27-May29, June 3-June4, June 10-June 11.  From June 18-September 4 Congers pool will be open daily.

Residents can register for pool passes at the Recreation Administration Building, 31 Zukor Road, New City during registration hours: Monday-Friday 9:30am-4pm, Tuesdays 7pm-9pm, and Fridays 7pm-9pm. The Recreation office expanded registration hours for this weekend only to accommodate residents getting pool passes. Registration will be open Friday, May 26th, 6pm-9pm and Saturday, May 27th, 10am-2pm. 

In addition, all residents should ensure they are registered for the Recreation and Parks Department new computer software program called Communitypass. The new program is very user friendly and will make all future registration easier for residents.  Every residents must create an account online AND visit the Recreation Administration office to verify age and proof of residency. For more information about Communitypass residents can visit Clarkstown.org or call 845-639-6200.
